ITOBA Stallion Season Auction Stakes
Outline of program:

• All registered Indiana bred progeny of donated stallions that sell at the ITOBA live Auction or RNA internet Auction are eligible to compete in the Colt/Gelding or the Filly division of two 3 year old races provided the foals are nominated and sustained by payment.

• Both races will be held in the fall Thoroughbred meet of the eligible foal’s 3yo year (2014) at a distance of 1 mile. Starters in each race will be determined by the 10 highest lifetime money earners. Purse distribution will pay 10 places.

• Foal Owner payment schedule
1. October 1st of Weanling Year- $100 - 2011 Foals Only - May 1, 2012
2. October 1st of Yearling Year -$ 150
3. 2yo payment – March 1st of Two Year Old Year - $250
4. $250 to enter race
5. $250 to Start
6. Late Payment - Double the amount of payments missed for weanling and yearling by the March 1st payment for 2 year old year.

After March 1st payment of 2 year old year- Double the payments missed for weanling, Yearling and two year old (1-3) plus $20,000. All payments must be postmarked on or before the due date.

• 100% of owner payments will be added to the 2 purses distributed by sex less Stallion awards.

• Host track to add $25,000 per race (subject to approval)

• TB development to add $ 25,000 per race(subject to approval)

• Each race are intended to be Black Type eligible if the host track and Thoroughbred development fund will add $50,000 per race (25k track 25k ITDF).

• Non Indiana Registered Stallions to receive stallion an award of 10% of the gross purse or a max of $10,000 This award to be paid from nomination and sustaining payment pool.

• Membership in good standing with ITOBA is required to nominate and sustain foals.
